Prayer & Services

Shabbat

There’s something special about Shabbat. It’s a chance to step away from the busyness of the week, reconnect with what matters most, and share in the joy of Jewish community. Whether you’re joining us every week or walking through our doors for the very first time, we hope you’ll feel at home at Temple Beth Shalom.

Friday Evening Services
Join us weekly at 6:00 PM for uplifting music, meaningful prayer, and the warmth of community as we welcome a day of rest and renewal.

Saturday Morning Services
Join us at 10:00 AM for prayer, Torah reading, a sermon, and plenty of opportunities to participate. Together we celebrate our traditions while creating space for learning, reflection, and connection.

Following services, we invite everyone to stay for Kiddush, a chance to enjoy good food, catch up with friends, meet someone new, and spend time together.

Bar and Bat Mitzvah Celebrations
Our Shabbat morning services are also where we celebrate Bar and Bat Mitzvah ceremonies. Watching our young people lead prayers, chant Torah and Haftarah, and share their own Torah insights is one of the great joys of our community.

Get Involved
Shabbat is something we create together. Congregants of all ages help lead prayers, read Torah, share words of learning, and receive honors such as aliyot. Whether you’re an experienced participant or looking to become involved for the first time, we’d love to help you find your place.

Streaming Available
Joining us from home? Most of our services are livestreamed so you can participate from wherever you are. You’ll find the livestream link on our calendar for each service.

Thursday Morning Minyan

Join us on the first Thursday of each month for morning minyan, offered both in person and on Zoom.

After services, stay for Nosh & Needles, our informal handwork group. Whether you knit, crochet, quilt, embroider, or simply enjoy good conversation, all are welcome. Bring a project or just come for the community.

Holidays

The Jewish year is filled with moments of joy, reflection, gratitude, and celebration. At Temple Beth Shalom, we mark each holiday with meaningful worship, engaging learning, festive gatherings, and opportunities to connect with one another.

From the awe of the High Holidays to the joy of Purim, the freedom of Passover, and the learning of Shavuot, we experience the Jewish year together as a community.

Throughout the year you’ll find opportunities to:

  • Celebrate with family and friends
  • Deepen your connection to Jewish tradition
  • Learn through classes, discussions, and special programs
  • Enjoy holiday meals, family events, and festive gatherings
  • Build lasting connections within our community

Whether you’ve celebrated Jewish holidays your whole life or are experiencing them for the first time, you’ll find a warm and welcoming community here.

Most holiday services are held in person, with livestreaming available for many major observances.
