From Our Federation
It is with tremendous sadness that our community acknowledges the recent anti-Semitic attack at Pittsburgh's Etz Chayim Tree of Life Synagogue.
We mourn those whose precious lives were lost. May their memories be for a blessing.

With broken hearts, but unbroken resolve, The Jewish Federations of North America join the entire Jewish community and decent people everywhere in expressing grief and outrage at the heinous murder of innocent people. The anti-Semitism and xenophobia that lead to this unspeakable bloodshed while Jews are engaged in peaceful worship - or anywhere in the world under any circumstances - must be condemned in no uncertain terms by leadership and the general public alike. Hatred and vitriol must have no quarter in any aspect of our country, for they not only contravene the sacred promise of America; they violate the moral and ethical core of our society.
We affirm the Long Beach community's conviction that hate has no place in the world.
Please join us for a CommUNITY-Wide Memorial Service on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at 7:30 pm at the Alpert Jewish Community Center on the Weinberg Jewish Federation Campus.
